Fight 4 Your Life – A Very Rough Cut Showing in Sacramento TONIGHT!

Friends, Countrymen, lend us your ear drums….or just your retinas.  Tonight from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm in Sacramento, CA at the Artisan, a very rough cut of our short film Fight 4 Your Life will be shown along with other entries to the 2012 Sacramento Film Festival.  It’s sure to be a fun night of this nearly 2 week long festival.  We’re happy and honored to have this very rough cut showing.

Although far from complete, you will get a chance to get the basic idea of the film, as well as ask questions so you can understand how this film came to happen.  One important fact to understand is this film was shot entirely in less than a day and a half, as part of the Sacramento 2012 48 Hour Film Festival.  It was the vision from the beginning to use the 48 Hour festival mostly as a means to gather a large cast and crew with the promise of creating something in a very, very short amount of time.  Most people only had to commit less than 2 days of their lives, one single weekend.  Once we shot the needed scenes it was and is 0ur goal to extend past the allotted 7 minute max runtime for the 48 hr films and make F.4.Y.L. the short its script called for, utilizing all of the footage we were able to shoot.

In the 2 days after the 48 Hr. Festival’s allowed production time we edited up the very rough cut being shown tonight at the Artisan.  As rough as it is, it at least provides the audience an opportunity to begin to put together where we’re going with the film.  Pretty much every scene must be re-cut because of the time restrictions we were faced with.

In fact, much of the 11 scenes we shot was left out due to the 7 minute run restriction the 48 Hour Film Festival gave all participants.  We threw together the scenes we included for the 48 hr festival with the scenes we lightly edited in the 2 days following the 48 hr festival’s mandatory production time.  AND WALLA!  This rough cut is what we got.

Not only will we be re-cutting everything for the final version of the film, but we will also be re-shooting one of the scenes, as well as shooting an additional scene that had to be left out of our initial shooting schedule.  Simply put, we are just getting started with the process to complete this film.  SOOOO much to do to it.  With our best estimates, we plan to have the final edit of this film done by the end of July – end of summer.

In the mean time, come enjoy the very rough cut tonight if you’re in the Sacramento area.  Director Bryan Bachar will be in attendance, along with members of the cast and crew.   This is a great opportunity for us to get much needed feedback so the final version of Fight 4 Your Life will be the best it can be.

If you can’t make it, be on the look out for the dedicated one studios web page and Facebook page we will be posting very soon.  The first teaser trailer for F4YL will be posting today on various social media sites, as well as on www.onestudios.net  also.  So, you’ll be able to keep up with everything regarding Fight 4 Your Life!

We appreciate your support!

Best,
